Announcing a new and exciting fundraising event! Join us for "Elvis! LIVE Entertainment and Silent Auction" supporting our Veterans Community Center in Citrus Heights. Truly a unique and fun event to be put on at the Center on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm.

The Live Your Dreams Awards (LYD) provides cash awards to women who are the primary financial support for their families and are seeking to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects. This award helps women overcome financial barriers so they can achieve their goals and create a better future for themselves and their families. The sponsoring club is Soroptimist International of Folsom El Dorado Hills (SIFEDH). The club is looking for applicants in Sacramento and El Dorado counties. The LYD Application window is from August 1 - November 15th, 2025. They will fund 3 applications:

From September 30 to October 2nd, we are announcing the Sacramento Stand Down Event. This organization has been serving Veterans since 1992. They offer a wide variety of service to assist Veterans in need in our area and we are here to support their efforts. Please note the details on the flyer below and make plans to attend this helpful event in the Greater Sacramento Area this year!
Due to the recent passing of our co-founder Jeanne Pulley (Rounsavell), we will be cancelling our planned Luau Fundraiser. In addition, the Center will be closed this week (Aug 11-15). We will reopen next Monday, August 18th.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the Center, and we look forward to serving our Veterans as we move ahead. August is a HOT month, and so it only fits that our hottest event of the year, our 5th Annual Hawaiian Luau Fundraiser Event is this month! Don't miss this, it's a ton of fun and food is tremendous too!

It's that time of year again! Time for Memorial Day weekend and time for our Annual Memorial Day FREE Concert! It's a quick 1 hour event, but one not to miss! Please join us!
Details below: Veterans Community Center, Citrus Heights, CA has announced a special lunch scheduled for Tuesday March 18th celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Oh, we know that is the day after the actual recognized holiday, but why not extend it a day? We think its a great idea!
Come join us for Corned Beef and Cabbage beginning service at 11am! Grab a ticket at the Center or let us know if you are coming and we can hold it at the door for you. See you then! Announcement: This Saturday, November 30th at 8:15am, there will be an easy, scenic 7 mile day hike along the Nimbus Dam trail in Folsom. Why not come take a stroll? Beautiful scenery, beautiful pace and work off a little turkey! Details below.
