Last Saturday, August 23rd, was the annual Veterans Appreciation Picnic at Rusch Park in Citrus Heights. Veterans Golf Park, as the Veterans Community Center, had a booth set up for volunteer sign ups and general support and information about our program. There was a nice turnout for the event, and VGP welcomed the chance to interact with many of our Vets as well as supporting family and friends from the community. Here are some photos from the event: If you didn't get a chance to attend, but would still like to volunteer at the Center, please contact Jean or Jim Rounsavell at 916.757.9193 or email at information@veteransgolfpark.com

![]() Due to unforeseen circumstances, this year's Golf Scramble has been cancelled. We hope that anyone who set aside the date has not been too badly inconvenienced. It is the intention of Veterans Golf Park to have the annual event starting again next year, so feel free to inquire ahead of time regarding that event. Also, since the purpose of this event has always been to raise money for the veterans we help with this organization, any donations would be greatly appreciated and utilized for that purpose. Thank you all for your continued support! You can go HERE to donate...Thank you! |
AuthorJames Newton Rounsavell is the Founder of Veterans Golf Park for Disabled Vets. Jim is a life long golfer and began to realize that golf could help disabled vets with PTSD and TBI, two very degrading but all too common syndromes that affect our Vets. This site seeks to make others aware of the benefits that can be derived, and creates hope for the thousands of veterans that could use help. Please help us spread the word! Archives
