Announcing a special service day for Veterans, provided by Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA), Sacrament County Veterans Services (VSO), and Placer County Veterans Services (VSO) - a CLAIMS CLINIC.
This event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 206 at the Veterans Community Center, Citrus Heights. This event will feature consultants from the aforementioned organizations who will assist Veterans and Beneficiaries with Claims, adding Dependents and Consulting on processing. The clinic is FREE and will run from 9am - 3pm. All Veterans and beneficiaries are invited to get this great service! See the flyer below for all the details:

It's approaching that time of year again! Our Annual Spaghetti Dinner is coming fast! It's set up for Friday evening from 4pm to 7pm on May 8th, 2026. This is always one of our favorite events in any given year, and certainly one of our most popular!

We still have some items left (LOTS of donations this year!) and as such, we will be holding one last 2 day sale coming up later this month on April 24th and 25th (Friday and Saturday). We will NOT be accepting any further donations for this Sale! The purpose of this sale is to move the rest of our goods out. We still have great items left, and decided to make them available one last sale. So, PLEASE, mark your calendars for our last Yard Sale for 2026 on April 24th (Friday) and April 25th (Saturday) from 8 am to 4pm both days! See you there! This event takes place at the California Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Capitol Park, Sacramento.

Announcing a new and exciting fundraising event! Join us for "Elvis! LIVE Entertainment and Silent Auction" supporting our Veterans Community Center in Citrus Heights. Truly a unique and fun event to be put on at the Center on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm.

The Live Your Dreams Awards (LYD) provides cash awards to women who are the primary financial support for their families and are seeking to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects. This award helps women overcome financial barriers so they can achieve their goals and create a better future for themselves and their families. The sponsoring club is Soroptimist International of Folsom El Dorado Hills (SIFEDH). The club is looking for applicants in Sacramento and El Dorado counties. The LYD Application window is from August 1 - November 15th, 2025. They will fund 3 applications:

From September 30 to October 2nd, we are announcing the Sacramento Stand Down Event. This organization has been serving Veterans since 1992. They offer a wide variety of service to assist Veterans in need in our area and we are here to support their efforts. Please note the details on the flyer below and make plans to attend this helpful event in the Greater Sacramento Area this year!
Due to the recent passing of our co-founder Jeanne Pulley (Rounsavell), we will be cancelling our planned Luau Fundraiser. In addition, the Center will be closed this week (Aug 11-15). We will reopen next Monday, August 18th.

About VCCJames Newton Rounsavell was the Founder of Veterans Golf Park for Disabled Vets, dba Veterans Community Center.
