Luau a Success! CH Messenger Article

Our annual big event, our Luau Fundraiser, took place last weekend and was a great success. Fun had by all, and great food the order of a pleasant evening! Dancers were on fire!

James Newton Rounsavell was the Founder of Veterans Golf Park for Disabled Vets, dba Veterans Community Center. Jim was a life long golfer and began to realize that golf could help disabled vets with PTSD and TBI, two very degrading but all too common syndromes that affect our Vets.

Several years ago the charity got a heads up on the sale of the former Citrus Heights Community Center on Sylvan Road, and was able to acquire the property. It has become the center of focus and attention for the Veterans here and that tradition continues with Jim's wife Jeanne after his passing.
