Golf Scramble Event for 2014 Has a Date!

It seems like we just completed last year's golf scramble event, but it's already time to plan this year's!

Veterans Golf Park Founder, Jim Rounsavell, has announced that we'll be holding this year's event at Lincoln Hills Golf Course again. Great course, great people and great facilities make for a great reason to return!

This year's event will be held on October 17th - mark your calenders and plan to attend. Look for a sign up sheet to sign up online soon, or call Jim at (916) 757-9193 to get in early!

James Newton Rounsavell was the Founder of Veterans Golf Park for Disabled Vets, dba Veterans Community Center. Jim was a life long golfer and began to realize that golf could help disabled vets with PTSD and TBI, two very degrading but all too common syndromes that affect our Vets.

Several years ago the charity got a heads up on the sale of the former Citrus Heights Community Center on Sylvan Road, and was able to acquire the property. It has become the center of focus and attention for the Veterans here and that tradition continues with Jim's wife Jeanne after his passing.
